March 20:  Stop the presses!  We're two weeks old today!!

Wednesday, March 26

Wow!  We thought this photo was most appropriate as it is THE END of Week 2!  They have gone from Phase 1, looking like piglets, on to Phase 2, looking like baby hippos, and are now in Phase 3, where we look like miniature groundhogs getting ready for hibernation.  Their weights certainly validate that observation.  They have all tripled in size since their birthday.  Pink and Green are smallest at 3# 3 oz, Purple is the whopper at 3# 10 oz, and all the others are between 3# 6 and 3# 8 oz.  It varies slightly day to day, depending on who happens to feed first.  They are now draining Keetch dry at every feeding so must take turns on who gets the coveted first round at the milk bar.  Stay tuned for new adventures tomorrow, when they get their first meal of puppy swill.  Yum.

With more puppies than expected we weren’t quite ready with enough ribbon colors, so white was added at the last minute.  Since then we have struggled to find her a “big dog” collar like the rest.  Evidently not many are made except for cats.  (And Annie firmly opposes ANYTHING having to do with cats.)  We finally located one, white with tiny pawprints.  Now White thinks she is one hot puppy in her new getup.

As Keetch no longer has an endless supply of milk, she leaves the box more for a well deserved rest.  Once again Mr. Moose takes over as puppysitter.  He has become more popular by the day.  So popular, we have added Moose Jr. to the team.  Bullwinkle would be proud of them.

Saturday, March 22

Today we had a very busy morning.  First we got weighted and had our toenails clipped.  Then we had lunch at the Cheese Board - a pan of smashed cottage cheese that we waded right into.  We finished off with some milk from Mom and, because we were still covered in cottage cheese, we each had a bath. Phew!  Saturdays are really hectic!  Time for a nap.....

Mom was teaching retrieving today by bringing one of the nanny's shoes.  Lime got right into the swing of things but it was a little too big for him to handle yet.

It was warm and sunny today so we decided to try on some camo to see how it fit. We think it's something we need to grow into!
